The Deer’s Cry

The Deer’s Cry in and ancient hymn and prayer of protection and salutation. It is said that St Patrick recited it when he and his followers were being ambushed. He was transformed to deer, St Patrick a doe, and his followers into fawns.

I used 9 lines often used complete as they are to inspire work for an exhibition at Lorient Interceltic festival in 2014.
