Every year the Peel Traditional Boat Weekend. poster design is scanned and its lines then printed in distinctive white ink on a black T-shirt. They are proudly collected by event participants, and word, faded and stained ones from events long ago often make an appearance over the weekend. I have been designing the T-shirts since 1994 or 5.
2014 was said to be one of the strongest. It is always a bit of sweat coming up with something, and a relief when you see the design working and walking around Peel.
I have had so much joy from sailing events over the years it is a pleasure to create one for my home town, even if it doesnt seem like it as the deadline approaches. They always have a lot of heart in them, and I have great difficulty letting the originals out into the world!
